Job summary

MCC is hiring a Press Operator Assistant in Pennsylvania to support setup and operations of printing presses in line with customer requirements. The role emphasizes safety, quality and efficient changeovers with hands-on support on the press floor.

Ideal candidates are team players with the ability to read job tickets, understand measurements, and pass eye and color vision tests. Physical stamina for long shifts and lifting up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Print shop experience helpful, but not required.
• Ability to read a job ticket and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Attains and maintains defined job objectives for jobs and changeovers.
• Assist in external make-ready operations for label changes.
• Assist in post-changeover clean-up activities.
• Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment.
• Strip plates from cylinders and locate dies to/from the press.
• May assist press operator to view labels with a strobe light.
• Adhere to customer MCC quality specifications and document QA sheets.
• Maintain clean machinery and organized workspace.
• Work overtime as needed and perform related duties.
