Responsibilities

• Set/impression, registration, and web guide; adjust as needed.
• Perform machine set-ups and job changes.
• Handle wastewater and inks per procedures.
• Monitor rolls for splices and changes; maintain quality.
• Record production metrics (pounds, downtime, scrap, counts).
• Keep workstation clean per Baking requirements.
• Assist with plate/remounts and print cylinder changes as directed.

Revolution is now hiring a experienced Printing Press Operator in Kilgore, TX. This is a 12-hour night shift schedule. Here is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for a challenging opportunity with a growing company.

• Work responsibly in a safe manner, following all safe operating procedures and posted requirements.
• Follow work guidelines and adhere to all company policies.
• Sustain productivity and quality standards.
• Handle products according to customer specifications and the company's production standards.
• Stage printed rolls in conversion
• Load/Unload ink chambers and trays from the machine.
• Set/Adjust impression, registration, and web guide.
• Responsible for all machine adjustments and job set-ups.
• Handle and store wastewater and all inks properly.
• Observe rolls for splices and changes.
• Record accurate production pounds, including footage, downtime, scrap, roll run numbers, and complete dockets.
• Maintain a clean and neat workstation per American Institute of Baking requirements.
• Perform other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Set and change print cylinders, sleeves, Anilox, and chambers on printing decks.
• Identify color variations on printed products and/or film and adjust as needed.
• Learn how to remount plates, make plate adjustments press side, and how build-up plates so they will print.
• Learn how to trim plates and/or apply tape to get rid of plate marks.
• Complete assigned tasks as instructed by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English required.
• Basic math skills - Addition, subtraction and multiplication in order to record accurate reports and accurate mixing of ink.
• Basic computer skills.
• Writing skills - Adequate for legible and accurate recording of production reports and other pertinent information.
• Be able to pass color blindness test.
