Job summary

MCC is seeking a Press Operator to manufacture printed labels and monitor label quality and press conditions. The role requires following safety rules, documenting usage data, and maintaining equipment as part of a fast-paced production team.

Responsibilities include making ready the press, performing quality checks, and ensuring products meet customer specifications while maintaining efficiency and safety throughout shifts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Adherence to safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to plant and corporate safety rules and guidelines.
  • Report safety concerns to supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area with daily housekeeping.
  • Complete makeready per Job Ticket and Product Specification documents.
  • Perform quality checks on product specs, visuals, and functionality.
  • Operate press to meet customer specifications while maintaining quality, waste, and efficiency.
  • Maintain consistent quality during production runs with critical checks on copy, color, and registration.
  • Follow procedures and measurements outlined in the BRC standard.
  • Complete press makeready efficiently and perform equipment maintenance.
  • Clean plates, cylinders, ink pans, and lubricate press as needed.
  • Enter material usage and time data into the Radiussystem accurately.

Responsibilities:
  • OurPrintingPress Operators must adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Reports all safety concerns or issues to their immediate supervisor.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment and area by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
  • Completes make-readyin accordance withthe Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, andaniloxrollers are used.
  • Responsible for completing all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks. Completes all press-side quality checks.
  • Operates press to produce product in accordance to customer specifications whilemaintainquality, waste, and press efficiency.
  • Maintains consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks includes: copy, color, and registration, and ink adhesion. Ensure conformance to all other quality checks.
  • Responsible for completing all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
  • Completes press makeready’sin an efficient manner.
  • Completes all required equipment maintenance duties.
  • Cleans plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricates press as needed.
  • Inputs all required information into theRadiussystem for material usage and time inan accurateand prompt manner.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.

The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
