Job summary

MCC Label is seeking a Press Operator to support the manufacture of printed labels, ensuring high quality and adherence to safety guidelines. The role involves following job tickets, performing makeready, and maintaining press efficiency through diligent quality checks.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and be prepared to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a strong team. Competitive benefits and training are provided.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
• Report safety concerns to the immediate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment with daily housekeeping.
• Complete makeready per Job Ticket and Product Specification documents.
• Perform press-side quality checks on product specs, visuals, and functions.
• Operate press to meet customer specs while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Maintain consistent quality during production; conduct copy, color, and registration checks.
• Follow procedures and quality measurements per BRC standard.
• Complete press makeready efficiently and perform equipment maintenance as required.
• Clean plates, cylinders, ink pans, and lubricate press as needed.
• Input material usage and time data into the Radius system accurately.

Responsibilities:

• OurPrintingPress Operators must adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
• Reports all safety concerns or issues to their immediate supervisor.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and area by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
• Completes make-readyin accordance withthe Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, andaniloxrollers are used.
• Responsible for completing all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks. Completes all press-side quality checks.
• Operates press to produce product in accordance to customer specifications whilemaintainquality, waste, and press efficiency.
• Maintains consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks includes: copy, color, and registration, and ink adhesion. Ensure conformance to all other quality checks.
• Responsible for completing all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
• Completes press makeready’sin an efficient manner.
• Completes all required equipment maintenance duties.
• Cleans plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricates press as needed.
• Inputs all required information into theRadiussystem for material usage and time inan accurateand prompt manner.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.

The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
