Job summary

MCC, a global leader in premium labels, is hiring a Press Operator to manufacture printed labels while ensuring quality and press conditions. The role emphasizes safety adherence, accurate makeready, and ongoing quality checks to meet customer specifications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of press operator experience or training.
  • Experience with Nilpeter or Galas presses is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Report safety concerns to the immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area through daily housekeeping.
  • Perform makeready according to Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers are used.
  • Conduct all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks; complete press-side quality checks.
  • Operate press to produce product in accordance with customer specifications while maintaining quality, waste, and press efficiency.
  • Maintain consistent quality during the production run; critical checks include copy, color, and registration, and ink adhesion.
  • Complete all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements per the BRC standard.
  • Complete press makeready efficiently.
  • Complete all required equipment maintenance duties.
  • Clean plates, cylinders, and ink pans, and lubricate the press as needed.
  • Input all required information into the Globe Tek system for material usage and time in an accurate and prompt manner.

The Press Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Our Printing Press Operators must adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Reports all safety concerns or issues to their immediate supervisor.

  • Operates press to produce product in accordance to customer specifications while maintaining quality, waste, and press efficiency.
  • Maintains consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks includes: copy, color, and registration, and ink adhesion. Ensure conformance to all other quality checks.
  • Responsible for completing all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
  • Completes press makeready's in an efficient manner.
  • Completes all required equipment maintenance duties.
  • Cleans plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricates press as needed.
  • Inputs all required information into the Globe Tek system for material usage and time in an accurate and prompt manner.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years as a printing press operator experience and/or training.
  • Experience with Nilpeter or Galas printing presses would be ideal but not required
  • The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
  • This position requires frequent walking.
  • Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
