The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is seeking an Assistant Printing Press Operator to support the Graphics and Reproduction Unit. You will help operate cylinder-type presses, set up for runs, monitor performance, and assist with mailing inserts and packaging tasks.

Ability to lift 50 lbs and work under supervision is required. Preferred skills include experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of satisfactory full-time experience operating a cylinder-type printing press.

Mansioni

• Operate large-scale cylinder-type printing presses under supervision.
• Set up press for printing/startup and adjust to job specs.
• Maintain and repair press equipment and monitor quality of output.
• Load paper, mix inks, and ensure color accuracy.
• Operate wide format machines and related post-print processes.
• Assist with packaging and transportation logistics.
• Lift and move packages and paper boxes up to 50 lbs.
