Silgan Closures is seeking a Printing and Coating Engineer to support our Richmond, IN operations. This role focuses on leading projects in printing, coating, curing ovens, and related processes while driving improvements in quality, safety, and efficiency.

A strong engineering background with hands-on troubleshooting and collaboration with OEMs is essential. Travel up to 50% to assist plants in Evansville, IN and Hazleton, PA, in addition to Richmond.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• Significant experience in can manufacturing, coil coating, printing, metal packaging, or coating operations may substitute for degree.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to Evansville, IN, Hazleton, PA, and Richmond.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead plant projects and process improvements in printing, coating, and oven systems.
• Improve quality, safety, and production efficiency through process optimization.
• Support coil coating, printing, curing ovens, oxidizers, and heat recovery systems.
• Troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment and identify root causes.
• Lead equipment installations, audits, overhauls, and qualification activities.
• Collaborate with plant teams and OEMs to develop new products and solutions.
• Train operators and maintenance staff on equipment setup, operation, and safety requirements.
