Job summary

Silgan Closures is seeking a Printing and Coating Engineer in Evansville, IN to lead projects across metal coil coating, printing and oven curing. You will drive improvements, troubleshoot equipment, and coach plant teams to raise quality and efficiency.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, strong mechanical aptitude, and up to 50% travel to Richmond, Evansville, and Hazleton sites. Strong collaboration and safety discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Significant experience in can manufacturing, coil coating, printing, or related operations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools.
• Lean Manufacturing, TPM and continuous improvement knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvements to enhance quality, safety and efficiency.
• Support coil coating, printing, curing ovens, oxidizers and heat recovery systems.
• Troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment and identify root causes.
• Lead equipment installations, audits, overhauls and qualification activities.
• Collaborate with plant teams and OEMs to develop new products and solutions.
• Train operators and maintenance staff on setup, operation and safety.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and LOTO requirements.
