Job summary

Can-One USA in Nashua, NH is hiring a Decorating Machine Operator for the 3rd shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). The role operates and monitors decorating equipment to apply graphics on aluminum cans, ensuring image alignment, color accuracy, and quality.

You’ll set up machines, troubleshoot issues, and document production activities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in manufacturing or machine operation, strong mechanical aptitude, and a keen eye for defects.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • 2+ years of machine operation or industrial equipment experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment and production issues.
  • Sharp eye for detail, with the ability to spot product defects and print registration issues.
  • Strong color accuracy skills, including color vision testing.
  • Clear, effective communicator with both team members and supervisors.
  • Comfortable working independently and thriving as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor industrial printing and decorating equipment.
  • Set up equipment for production runs according to established procedures.
  • Monitor production equipment and make adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain proper print registration, image alignment, and color consistency.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and identify defects.
  • Monitor production runs and communicate quality or equipment concerns.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
  • Use precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
  • Work with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to address equipment and quality issues.
  • Complete required production and maintenance documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
  • Participate in process improvement and equipment efficiency initiatives.

  • Technical or vocational training in manufacturing, machine operation, or industrial technology.
Schedule
  • Full-time
  • 12-hour shift
  • 3rd shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • Overtime may be available based on production needs
Physical & Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing position. The role requires standing and walking for extended periods and may involve bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and working around operating production equipment.

Employees must follow all applicable safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment in designated areas.
