Job summary

Silgan Closures is seeking a Printing Machine Operator to operate and monitor industrial printing equipment in a climate-controlled facility in Champaign, Illinois. The role includes performing preventive maintenance, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining accurate production records.

You will work a 12-hour rotating shift with a night shift premium. Minimum 2 years of printing or manufacturing experience and a high school diploma are required.

• Minimum 2 years of printing, machine operator or manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of production processes and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to meet quality, safety and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial printing machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance on printing equipment.
• Ensure products meet quality control standards.
• Monitor ink supply systems.
• Monitor cap and material supply functions.
• Complete production and maintenance documentation.
• Comply with GMP, HACCP and food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient manufacturing workspace.
• Communicate with maintenance teams and production staff.

Pay Rate $23.89 - $26.56 per hour, plus an additional $1.00 per hour for night shift
