Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Production Operator to join our manufacturing team in Jackson, Tennessee. You will rotate through tasks, set up, operate and monitor printers/baggers, ensure safety, quality and GMP compliance, and work to meet production goals with minimal downtime.

You will handle routine maintenance, document issues, and support teammates while adhering to safety standards and company values. This role follows a 12-hour shift pattern and requires reliability and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Overtime required; maintain attendance in line with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate & monitor printers and/or baggers for daily operations.
• Safely operate equipment to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
• Report non-conformances and maintain cleanliness and GMP compliance.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and assist teammates as needed.
• Document data and follow SOPs and work instructions.

Essential Jobs and Responsibilities

Report to front line leadership. Communicate between shifts to anticipate & prepare for any production concerns Set up, operate & monitor of printers &/or baggers for daily operations Safely operate equipment in a manner to ensure a maximum product throughput and minimum downtime Run to standard while complying to customer specifications & acceptable quality levels Report any non-conformances to front line leadership. Load/reload hoppers with unfinished product to ensure a continuous operation Document and report substandard production Make necessary ink adjustments as needed. Perform routine preventative maintenance, housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance as assigned/required Assist other teammates as needed. Uphold Safety Absolutes Work & perform to ISO standards, SOPs & established Work Instructions Uphold Quality Standards & follow the Absolutes. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting. Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English. Capable of lifting up to 35lbs repeatedly. Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: PPE includes but is not limited to Bump Cap or Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask. Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines and working required overtime. High School Graduate or equivalent Negative drug screen results. Work in a safe manner

6:50am - 7:00pm; 12 hour shift (2 Days On, 2 Days Off, 3 Days On, 2 Days Off, 2 Days On, 3 Days Off)

Maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace by ensuring adherence to safety standards. Conduct required safety reviews of equipment and processes prior to project start-up. Support the accomplishment of your work groups through the quality, timeliness and professionalism of your attitude. Supply accurate and timely data as required by performance tracking and reporting. Apply resources in a manner that maximizes their effectiveness while assuring quality. Maintain a work environment that will contribute to the assurance of safety and GMP compliance. Adhere to established procedures, perform self-checking and pay attention to detail in the performance of you and your team’s work. Notify management in a timely manner of any problems with procedural compliance. Report observed quality problems and deficiencies in a timely manner. Make recommendations to management for improving the quality and efficiency of your work. Oversee work to ensure projects are completed.
