Job summary

Amcor LLC in Jackson, TN is hiring a production operator for a 12-hour shift to help uphold safety, quality and GMP standards while maintaining steady output. You will work with frontline teams to keep printers and baggers running and monitor performance across the line.

You will set up, operate and inspect equipment, document data, and escalate concerns to leadership. Amcor offers strong benefits, training, and a safety‑driven workplace.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs repeatedly and maintaining attendance.
  • Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English and following safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate between shifts to anticipate and prepare for production concerns.
  • Set up, operate and monitor printers and baggers for daily operations.
  • Operate equipment safely to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
  • Record and report non-conformances and substandard production.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, GMP-compliant workspace.
  • Support teammates and uphold safety absolutes, ISO standards, and SOPs.

Job Description

Essential Jobs and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Report to front line leadership.
  • Communicate between shifts to anticipate & prepare for any production concerns
  • Set up, operate & monitor of printers &/or baggers for daily operations
  • Safely operate equipment in a manner to ensure a maximum product throughput and minimum downtime
  • Run to standard while complying to customer specifications & acceptable quality levels
  • Report any non-conformances to front line leadership.
  • Load/reload hoppers with unfinished product to ensure a continuous operation
  • Document and report substandard production
  • Make necessary ink adjustments as needed.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance as assigned/required
  • Assist other teammates as needed.
  • Uphold Safety Absolutes
  • Work & perform to ISO standards, SOPs & established Work Instructions
  • Uphold Quality Standards & follow the Absolutes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
  • Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Capable of lifting up to 35lbs repeatedly.
  • Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: PPE includes but is not limited to Bump Cap or Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask.
  • Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines and working required overtime.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Negative drug screen results.
  • Work in a safe manner.
Additional Information

6:50pm - 7:00am; 12 hour shift (2 Days On, 2 Days Off, 3 Days On, 2 Days Off, 2 Days On, 3 Days Off) Contribution to Safety, Quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace by ensuring adherence to safety standards. Conduct required safety reviews of equipment and processes prior to project start-up. Support the accomplishment of your work groups through the quality, timeliness and professionalism of your attitude. Supply accurate and timely data as required by performance tracking and reporting. Apply resources in a manner that maximizes their effectiveness while assuring quality. Maintain a work environment that will contribute to the assurance of safety and GMP compliance. Adhere to established procedures, perform self-checking and pay attention to detail in the performance of you and your team’s work. Notify management in a timely manner of any problems with procedural compliance. Report observed quality problems and deficiencies in a timely manner. Make recommendations to management for improving the quality and efficiency of your work. Oversee work to ensure projects are completed.
