Job summary

Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Cheraw, South Carolina to find an experienced and eager 1st shift printer operator to join their growing team!

The printer operator is responsible for safely operating printing equipment, performing quality inspections, completing setup and changeovers, and ensuring products meet company specifications.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of manufacturing or production experience.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and product quality.
  • Ability to identify quality defects and make necessary adjustments.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate printing equipment while producing quality products that meet company specifications.
  • Verify proper setup of printing equipment before production begins.
  • Ensure all required tools are available and in good working condition (per Group 7 Tool List).
  • Perform label design changeovers and equipment setups as needed.
  • Conduct routine quality control checks throughout the production process.
  • Audit printer applications to ensure compliance with SOPs.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any issues or malfunctions to supervision immediately.
  • Analyze production spoilage, document causes, and implement corrective actions when applicable.
  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks on equipment.
  • Follow all SOPs, work instructions, and production standards.
  • Ensure all machine guards, safety devices, and protective equipment are in place and functioning properly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members while demonstrating the ability to work independently.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, quality-focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay Details: $14.00 per hour
