Job summary

Adecco is assisting a local customer in Townsend, MA in search of a Post Press Operator. This role offers a 2nd shift from 3 pm to 11 pm, weekly pay, and access to Adecco’s perks and upskilling resources.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, 1+ year in manufacturing, and experience with post-press operations, including basic bindery tasks and equipment setup.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1+ year in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting; printing process/operations experience helpful.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and basic math/reading skills.
• Experience operating powered hand trucks.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine post-press tasks, may operate basic bindery equipment and basic computer systems.
• Set up equipment and gather materials efficiently; monitor equipment, stock area, and order shipments; generate labels; may use a cutter.
• Ensure order instructions are understood and production runs meet accuracy, ink coverage and quantity targets.
• Follow policies and procedures for production, inspect orders for errors, and assist with loading trucks and packaging duties.
• Inspect products to verify match with order specs and manifest orders per shop order or manifest system.

Adecco is currently assisting a local Customer in their search for Post Press Operator positions in Townsend, MA. Responsibilities:

• Performs routine manual and/or automated post-press functions. May operate basic bindery equipment and utilize basic computer systems in the completion of duties.
• Perform a complete set-up of equipment and gather materials in an efficient manner, which may include: monitor/maintain equipment, the stock area with supplies, check order shipments, stamp and proofread customer orders and generate labels. Will be using a cutter.
• Determine and understand all order instructions and running of equipment productively while, meeting job requirements of the accuracy of the product, proper ink coverage, accurate quantity, correct shipping label and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations.
• Maintain production operation by following policies and procedures, which may include using a powered hand truck inspecting orders for errors, and using basic computer systems. Meet company service requirements which may include proper labeling and sorting, engraving special orders, loading trucks, monitoring binding margins for insert and tagboard placement and adhere to postal service/delivery compliance as required.
• May inspect the product to verify a match with order specifications and manifest orders according to terms/methods defined in the shop order package and/or manifest system.

Requirements:

• High School/GED
• 1+ year in Manufacturing environment
• Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshoot. Experience in printing process/operations.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and basic math and reading skills.
• Experience operating powered hand trucks

Pay Details:

$18.00 to $19.00 per hour
