Job summary

Averro in Kirkland, WA is seeking a PCB design professional to provide board generation from layout through fabrication and assembly. You will develop schematics and electronics designs to support the engineering team.

You will assist in design, fabrication, assembly, and testing of developmental prototypes, conduct circuit troubleshooting and testing, and help drive process improvements and design reviews. This role offers growth in a veteran-owned staffing firm environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional PCB layout design experience.
• Proficiency with PCB layout software (Altium) and schematic capture.
• Associate degree or BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide PCB board generation services from layout to fabrication and assembly, including vendor management
• Develop schematics and electronics designs to support team member needs
• Assist in design, fabrication, assembly, and testing of developmental prototypes
• Conduct troubleshooting and experimental testing on circuits and systems
• Drive process improvements and participate in design reviews

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of professional PCB layout design experience with exposure to complex circuitry and Design For Manufacturing (DFM)
• Proficiency with PCB layout software such as Altium and knowledge of schematic capture and basic analog/digital electronics
• Associate degree or BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

• Hand soldering and rework capabilities with small components (DFNs, 0402 metric)
• Programming experience with Python or LabVIEW
• Knowledge of IC layout, mechanical CAD, test equipment, or revision control systems
• Japanese language and business culture knowledge
