Job Summary: As part of the University Communications team, the Print Shop Manager oversees all printing for the university, ensuring that all materials meet the university’s standard of excellence, and ensures that the proper use of university brands and colors are maintained in all publications.
Duties
Other duties may be assigned to this position on a regular or occasional basis to respond to the needs of the university.
Working knowledge of graphic design software; ability to perform basic functions in the graphic production process through pre-press; knowledge of scanning and color correction techniques as well as copying; working knowledge of Adobe Creative suite, Publisher, Word, and Excel; ability to work with many projects concurrently. Ability to get along with others, follow directions, and work well on multiple deadlines.
Employee will support the mission of Sul Ross State University by providing high-quality, professional services, timely responses, and solutions to customer requests.
Able to work a defined schedule, work overtime as required, and have the ability to meet deadlines. Office conditions, standard hours. This position is security sensitive and exempt from overtime provisions. This position requires Alpine Campus on-site attendance.
This position typically works in an office environment, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while using a computer. The role demands frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Visual acuity is essential for reading and interpreting data on computer screens. Clear verbal communication skills are necessary for interacting with colleagues and employees. Additionally, the job may involve occasional mobility around the office and attending meetings, Light to heavy lifting.
