Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. seeks a Print Services Technician II for a 10-hour day shift in Hercules, CA. You will operate high-speed digital printers, binders, cutters, and finishing equipment, ensuring quality outputs and on-time delivery for internal customers.

The role requires minimum 2 years in digital print production, strong mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with Adobe software; SAP experience is a plus. You will work both independently and in a team within a fast-paced print center.

Responsibilities

• Accept, process and ship electronic jobs using electronic job submission software.
• Review job specifications to organize sequence, paper selection and equipment setup.
• Operate high-speed copying equipment to ensure efficient printing services.
• Operate finishing equipment (cutter, folder, coil binding) to produce quality output.
• Perform preventive maintenance and manage equipment inventories.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Deliver high quality work, work solo or in a team, complete tasks timely.
• Basic troubleshooting for digital printing, folders, and cutters.

Print Services Technician II

The role is a day shift 4/10 schedule Monday through Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm. This position is in Bio-Rad's high volume print center that produces literature that is distributed throughout our company. We are looking for a candidate that has experience in digital printing, measuring, cutting, booklet maker, GUK or stall folder with right angle and vertical stacker. Experience in coil binding, strong computer skills, able to manipulate Adobe and quite imposing software is required. SAP experience is a plus. This is a 10 hour shift 4 days a week in which you'll be on your feet most of that time.

How You’ll Make An Impact:

• Accept, process and ship electronic jobs using electronic job submission software.
• Understands printing job requirements by reviewing job specifications; assessing requirements for organizing job sequence, paper selection and equipment set-up.
• Operate and maintain multiple high speed copying equipment to ensure efficient and effective printing services.
• Operate hydraulic paper cutter, paper folder, and plastic coil binding machines to produce high quality finishing and binding output for our customers.
• Ensures press operation by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Effective communication with internal and external customers.
• High quality of work.
• Be able to work alone and within a team.
• Complete assigned work in a timely manner.
• Basic troubleshooting skills relating to digital printing, folders, and cutters.

What You Bring:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Work Experience: Minimum 2 years experience working in the digital print industry.
• Knowledge of print specifications for sheet fed and digital production processes.
• Knowledge of Press Operator and Finishing Operator functions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Location:

This position must be based in Hercules, CA and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

Compensation:

The estimated hourly range for this position is $23.13 to $31.78 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
