Job description

We are seeking a Print Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) to join our client in Edgewood, NY! Pay rates range from $75,000 to $80,000 depending on experience.

In this role, reporting to the Manager of Operations, you will be responsible for the operation of a single shift within print operations with approximately 10-20 direct reports. Responsibilities include staff supervision, production, staff training, reporting operational information to management, ensuring service levels are met or exceeded, and meeting cost/unit targets. You will ensure work is processed in priority order in a timely and cost-effective manner, monitor work assigned to each operator/machine, and work with vendors to resolve equipment/software issues promptly.

This position is on 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure operators follow procedures and produce quality work on time; recommend cost containment initiatives to reduce expenses.
• Develop staff schedules with management to meet department goals and identify top performers for development.
• Monitor machine downtime, log issues, and follow up with vendors for resolution.
• Coordinate with Client Services to resolve print request issues, ensuring service commitments are met.
• Notify management of staffing, workflow, equipment, or scheduling issues and suggest solutions.
• Prepare daily production reports to monitor productivity and service levels.
• Cross-train staff to ensure backup support and document procedures for training.
• Monitor employee attendance, enforce policies, and administer corrective actions as needed.

Requirements:

• College degree preferred but not required.
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in production, warehouse, retail, or related fields, including talent development and performance reviews.
• Print equipment experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, Outlook.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and improve team performance.
• Ability to motivate staff, build morale, and understand equipment.
