Blueprint Studios in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Print Production Operator for an on-site, full-time role. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in a sign shop or print production environment, with hands-on skills in cutting and installing substrates and a keen eye for quality.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a sign shop or print production environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with high accuracy.
• Experience with cutting and installing various substrates.
• Familiarity with Caldera, Zund cnc, Mac OS X and Adobe Illustrator is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day print production projects and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ensure proper material handling from start to finish to prevent damage.
• Perform finishing operations including in-house and on-site installs.
• Prepare substrates for application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning).
• Maintain quality control from orders to final delivery by proofreading and inspecting for defects.
• Operate printing machines, adjust settings, and feed materials into equipment.
• Report inventory levels and reorder substrates and lamination materials as needed.
• Unload, store, and organize printing materials and substrates; keep area tidy.
• Coordinate installs with Fabrication and Operations for tight deadlines.
• Troubleshoot and perform on-site installations professionally.

This is an on-site position in our growing Las Vegas facility.

Position Overview:

The Print Operator must be organized, committed, hardworking and persistent with strict attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience working in a sign shop or print production environment, specifically with cutting and installing various substrates. An interest in graphic design and familiarity with printing materials and processes is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

Handles day-to-day print production projects, works on multiple projects simultaneously.

Observes proper material handling from start to finish to prevent damage to large format prints or substrates.

Performs finishing operations such as installs in house and on site.

Accurately prepares substrates for material application, including cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, and maintaining proper storage of substrates for material application.

Ensures proper and strict quality control from start to finish by accurately reading and interpreting work orders, proofing for errors or unacceptable standards (bubbles, ragged edges, loose seams), and inspection for final delivery.

Operates various printing machines, maintains proper fit and settings, and feeds material into machines.

Reports inventory levels and the stock of various substrates and lamination materials to be reordered to the manager.

Unloads and stores all printing materials, cleans, and maintains storage areas, properly stores rigid substrates, and organizes storage racks.

Keeps the production area neat, clean, and organized, including sweeping, taking out the trash, and general clean up on a daily basis.

Assists in coordinating installs with Fabrication and Operations for tight deadlines and fast turnarounds.

Trouble shoots and performs on-site installations professionally and accurately without supervision.

Carefully tallies and packages all finished items for delivery or shipping, so they do not get damaged in transit.

Required Skills : and Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required

Ability to work occasional overtime as needed

General Knowledge of Caldera desired

General knowledge of Zund cnc machine desired

Expert knowledge of MAC OS X

Ability to work in fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy

Ability to work under pressure to produce high-volume, high-quality work for each task with minimal supervision and few mistakes

General knowledge of large format printing

General knowledge of Adobe Illustrator desired

Bilingual (English/Spanish) would be helpful, but not required
