Job summary

Brigham Young University (BYU) is seeking a Print Production Specialist to operate and support the equipment and processes within the assigned print production pod. This role develops mastery of the pod’s equipment, adheres to master production schedules, and mentors student employees while delivering high-quality print work consistent with BYU’s standards.

The position requires hands-on expertise with industrial digital presses and finishing equipment, strict quality control, and collaborative

Qualifications

Experience with industrial digital printing equipment and print production workflow.
Ability to mentor student employees and maintain high production standards.
Strong attention to color, alignment, and finish quality.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor assigned pod equipment per production schedules.
Perform makeready, adjustments, and changeovers with accuracy.
Inspect finished products for color, registration, and quality; escalate issues as needed.
Coordinate with master scheduler and leadership on workflow and capacity.
Lead and train student workers, upholding BYU's mission and quality standards.
