Job summary

Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) is seeking a Finishing Utility - Slitter Helper Operator to join our manufacturing team in Tyrone, PA. The role focuses on ensuring print/seam quality and smooth roll handling in a climate-controlled production environment.

You will operate and assist with slitting, splicing, and data recording, while adhering to safety and quality standards. Competitive benefits and holiday pay are included.

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions.
• Regularly able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color vision and depth perception.

Responsibilities

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices roll web per specification.
• Uses ruler, safety knife and hole punch in splicing procedure.
• Handles rolls and palletizes to avoid damage.
• Records data on required paperwork and in the operation system.
• Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Continuously checks for print and seam quality.

• Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification .
• Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used at other times as necessary).
• Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly as to not cause damage to them.
• Must understand basic printing and seam related defects.
• Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Must be able regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
