Role Description

The Print Estimator is a full-time, on-site role located in West Chester, PA. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for commercial print, direct mail, and related services based on client specifications, job layouts, and production capabilities. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing RFQs, analyzing job requirements, selecting appropriate materials and production methods, and calculating costs for labor, equipment, and finishing. The role also involves collaborating closely with sales, production, and purchasing teams to refine estimates, optimize pricing, and ensure feasibility of proposed jobs. The Print Estimator maintains detailed records of estimates, updates pricing information, and supports the development of proposals and customer quotes while adhering to company standards and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in print estimating or commercial printing operations, including familiarity with sheetfed offset, digital printing, envelopes, wide-format, and finishing processes.
• Strong analytical and math skills to calculate material usage, labor, equipment time, and overall job costs accurately.
• Proficiency with estimating, MIS, or ERP systems, as well as general office software (e.g., Excel, Word) for data entry and pricing analysis.
• Knowledge of direct mail production, postal regulations, and mailing logistics is highly beneficial.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with sales, production, and client service teams.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple estimates under tight deadlines.
• Prior experience in a commercial print, direct mail, or marketing services environment preferred.
• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Graphic Communications, Business) is a plus.
