Job summary

Piworld in Roselle, IL is seeking an experienced Commercial Print Estimator to join our team. You will prepare estimates for commercial print, direct mail, digital printing and mailing projects, and review specifications, quantities and finishing requirements.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of estimating in commercial print, strong math and analytical skills, and familiarity with PrintSmith, Pace or Avanti.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial print estimating experience required.
• Strong knowledge of direct mail, digital and offset printing.
• Familiarity with bindery, finishing, fulfillment, and postal requirements.
• Experience with print estimating/MIS software such as PrintSmith, Pace, Avanti.
• Strong math, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial print, digital, offset, and direct-mail projects.
• Review specifications, quantities, paper/substrates, colors, finishing, bindery, mailing, and delivery requirements.
• Calculate costs for materials, labor, press/digital production, finishing, mailing, freight, and outside services.
• Determine the most efficient and cost-effective production method.
• Work closely with Sales, Production, Prepress, Purchasing, Bindery, and Mailing departments.
• Review customer specifications and identify potential production issues before quoting.
• Obtain vendor pricing when required.
• Support RFPs, bids, and large-volume print and mail opportunities.
• Manage multiple estimates while meeting deadlines.
