Job summary

Zaden Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Principal Windows Systems Administrator to lead design, deployment, and management of enterprise Windows and Azure Virtual Desktop environments in support of defense and space systems.

The role requires US citizenship and an active secret clearance; you will guide DevSecOps initiatives, implement STIG baselines, and mentor junior admins while ensuring secure, scalable operations.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and active secret clearance required.
• 7+ years Windows system administration in enterprise environments.
• Expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop deployment and optimization.
• Proficient in Group Policy creation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with security and vulnerability scanning tools and remediation.
• Strong WSUS and patch management experience.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and Azure networking.
• Experience with STIG compliance on Windows and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage AVD environments for distributed users.
• Administer GPOs across domains to enforce security and settings.
• Perform security scanning and remediate vulnerabilities per compliance.
• Manage Windows Update deployment strategies and WSUS.
• Oversee Linux VMs in hybrid infra and integrate with Windows.
• Design networking configurations including VPNs, subnets, firewalls.
• Maintain Azure infrastructure: VNets, storage, resource groups.
• Lead STIG compliance across mixed fleet and document standards.
• Provide mentorship and develop SOPs for admins.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps to automate provisioning via IAC.
