BMC Software Value and Solution Engineering (VSE) professionals are highly consultative, technical, and business experts that deliver the clear vision and strategies required to help customers achieve their desired business outcomes and value. The VSE team partners closely with Sales and customers to capture requirements and articulate how BMC’s unique and differentiated capabilities can best serve customer needs. This is a highly visible team working with our most successful sales teams to support the most prestigious companies around the world. Join us as a Principal Value Engineer!

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with Sales and Presales organizations to create strategies, timelines, and deliverables aligning customer initiatives with BMC's solutions.
  • Coach sales teams on critical business issues faced by customers and help articulate BMC value propositions from a business value perspective.
  • Identify and quantify relevant value drivers, express them in financial models, and present directly to customers.
  • Research customer insights from public sources and turn presentations into constructive dialogues to influence stakeholders.
  • Innovate and solve everyday problems proactively.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to influence high-value sales deals.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Live and breathe BMC values daily.
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting, influencing decision-makers through value-based presentations.
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS products and solutions.
  • Strong storytelling skills to articulate value.
  • Expert-level MS Excel skills.
  • Customer trust and professional curiosity as a true business partner.
  • Proven track record of influencing without authority.
  • Spanish language skills are preferred.
Additional Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Knowledge of BMC Software products.
