About The Team

UX Research at Angi is part of a multi-disciplinary team of UX designers, researchers, and content creators. We help build innovative home services capabilities and experiences for both homeowners and service professionals that span the digital and physical worlds—from the details on a screen to in-person, human-to-human interactions, and everything in between.

Our job is to redefine expectations around what’s possible in the home services industry by creating simple, seamless solutions to complex, previously unsolved problems. We value exploration, rapid iteration, and attention to detail. Our teams are hands-on in every phase of a project lifecycle from discovery and definition through detail design, release, and ongoing optimization.

About The Role

As a Principal UX Researcher at Angi, you will be a driving force behind our mission to create exceptional user experiences for homeowners and pros. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our product by identifying key observations, uncovering user insights, and championing user-centric decision-making across the organization.

Your expertise will guide qualitative and quantitative research initiatives, mentor fellow researchers, and ensure that user needs are at the forefront of our innovation. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, driving alignment through insights and defining how to integrate research insights into the product development lifecycle.

What You’ll Do
  • Spearhead research initiatives across multiple product areas, defining research goals, methodologies, and success metrics - ranging from large, strategic work to detailed, tactical work
  • Create compelling research narratives that stitch together qualitative and quantitative learnings
  • Mentor and coach other UX Researchers, fostering a culture of research excellence and continuous learning
  • Develop and implement long-term research strategies and roadmaps that align with company goals and vision
  • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across product, design, engineering, data, and business to define research, collect user observations and learnings
  • Help identify and implement new research methods and tools to advance the company's research capabilities
  • Be a partner and leader in defining UX metrics and how they are paired with qualitative findings
  • Help define and support design operations including ways of working and tracking work
  • Represent Angi's UX Research team at industry events and contribute to the broader UX Research community.
Who You Are
  • 10+ years of experience in UX Research, with a proven track record of leading impactful research initiatives
  • Passion for all size research projects from rapid micro-scale usability optimization to long-term projects
  • Mastery of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Deep understanding of the home improvement industry is a strong plus.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and research platforms to leverage data effectively
  • Ability to align research with business goals and strategy
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational change through research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify emerging trends in UX Research and drive innovation.
We value diversity

We know that the best ideas come from teams where diverse points of view uncover new solutions to hard problems. We welcome and value individuals who bring diverse life experiences, educational backgrounds, cultures, and work experiences.

Compensation & Benefits
  • The salary band for this position ranges from $145,000 - $185,000 commensurate with experience and performance.
  • This position will be eligible for a competitive year-end performance bonus & equity package.
  • Full medical, dental, vision package to fit your needs
