Job summary
Marmon Industrial Energy & Infrastructure in the United States seeks a Principal Design Engineer to lead the design, qualification, and lifecycle support of high-performance coaxial, twisted-pair, fiber-optic, and power cables. You will convert customer requirements into manufacturable, standards-compliant solutions, partnering with Product Management, Manufacturing, and suppliers.
Requirements include a bachelor's in Electrical/Optical Engineering or Physics, at least five years in cable design
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Minimum five years in cable design, transmission-line/RF, or fiber-optic product development.
- Experience designing and qualifying cable products and interpreting specs/drawings.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, qualification, and lifecycle support for diverse cable products.
- Apply EM and optical theory to conductor geometry and fiber selection.
- Document design assumptions, risks, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage Stage-Gate/NPD projects and ensure on-time release of docs and changes.
- Support ISO 9001/ISO 14001 systems and regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical training and support to internal teams and customers.
