Job summary

EXANTE is seeking a seasoned principal trader for a remote role to build, run and develop our principal trading book across asset classes. You will provide liquidity against client flow, manage inventory and hedge residual exposure with full P&L responsibility within our regulatory, best-execution and conflict-of-interest framework. Reporting line: Chief Operations Officer.

Qualifications

• 10–20 years' experience in principal trading or related roles with documented P&L.
• Multi-asset risk management across delta, gamma, vega, liquidity and counterparty risk.
• Regulatory expertise with MiFID II, best-execution, and conflicts-of-interest management.
• Experience with securities financing and stock lending operations is a strong plus.
• Collaborative profile; ability to work across desks and functions.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
• Commercial, disciplined; accountable for full P&L.

Responsibilities

• Provide liquidity against client flow, internalise and aggregate exposures, manage inventory and hedge residual market risk.
• Develop market making, flow trading, relative-value strategies within risk limits.
• Identify, negotiate and onboard exchanges, prime brokers and OTC counterparties.
• Design, implement and operate risk limits, monitoring and escalation for the book.
• Coordinate securities inventory, financing and revenue with Stock Lending team.
• Cooperate with Options and Fixed Income desks for integrated principal books.
• Work with Operations, Treasury and Technology on workflow, financing, settlement and tooling.
• Manage conflicts of interest and best-execution governance per MiFID II and related regimes.
• Lead team build-out aligned with the approved business plan.
