Job summary

Renesas Electronics seeks a talented Test Engineer for our Palm Bay, FL office. You will work on Radiation-Hardened ICs for space applications, developing test methodologies, schematics, PCB layouts, and hardware, and debugging test programs for production.

The role includes defining test requirements with development, writing characterization programs, and designing ATE load boards, with GR&R studies to ensure measurement integrity.

Qualifications

• BSEE with 12+ years of experience in automated test environments for semiconductors.
• Experience with Analog, Mixed-Signal, and Power ICs (LDOs, Buck Regulators, PMIC, PWM controllers).
• Proficiency with 93k, Cohu DiamondX, ETS364, or Teradyne microFLEX test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Define Test Requirements for new ICs in collaboration with the Development Team.
• Write characterization programs for device evaluation.
• Develop production test programs for manufacturing.
• Design load boards for Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
• Perform GR&R studies and Spike Check (Transient Analysis).

Job description

Our Hi-Rel Space Product and Test Engineering Group is seeking a talented Test Engineer to join our team in our Palm Bay, FL, office. Our team develops Radiation-Hardened ICs for the Space Industry. You will work with a team primarily co-located in Palm Bay, with an on-site production test floor. Responsibilities include developing test methodologies, defining test schematics, PCB layouts, and hardware; developing and debugging test programs; correlating production test solutions to bench measurements; and transferring test solutions to production.

Primary Responsibilities

• Define Test Requirements for new ICs in Conjunction with the Development Team
• Write Characterization programs
• Develop production test programs
• Design Load Boards for Automated Test Equipment
• Perform GR&R studies and Transient Analysis, aka Spike Check, aka de-glitch

Qualifications

• BSEE with 12+ years of experience creating test solutions for an automated test environment in the semiconductor industry
• Previous work on Analog, Mixed Signal, and Power ICs (such as LDOs, Buck Regulators, PMIC, PWM Controller)
• In-depth experience with 93k, Cohu DiamondX, ETS364, or Teradyne microFLEX preferred
