Job summary

Echodyne in Kirkland, Washington, is looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager with expertise in test equipment hardware and software development to drive high‑impact programs in a fast‑paced environment.

You will lead cross‑functional teams of software, mechanical, electrical, systems engineers and radar scientists to deliver high‑performance, manufacturable radar solutions and manage external partners to ensure on‑time milestones.

Echodyne is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager with experience in test equipment hardware and software development to join our team working in a fast-paced environment developing high-performance commercial radar solutions.

ROLE OVERVIEW

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver innovative products and solutions that exceed customer expectations and advance Echodynes core technology differentiation
• Define, plan, and manage complex development programs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, systems engineers, radar scientists, manufacturing engineers and sourcing
• Track and report program status and metrics
• Drive continuous improvements in product development methodologies

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• Ability to identify solutions to challenging programmatic problems that optimize results for Echodyne and our customers
• Ability to weigh risks and drive clear decisions based on available information
• Ability to lead engineering and research teams to achieve objectives
• Experience managing external development partners
• Experience leading hardware and embedded software development programs
• Effective communication and presentations skills
• Building collaborative relationships both internally and externally

DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE (Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)

• Experience developing test equipment for use in manufacturing environment
• Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools or software
• Experience using project management tools, such as MS Project, MS Excel, and JIRA

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, other technical degrees, or equivalent work experience
• 8 years or more in technical program management, with at least 3 years leading hardware development efforts

This is an exempt role.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $149,659 — $224,437 USD
