Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a Principal Technical Product Manager for Common Services to define strategy, roadmap, and delivery of reusable autonomy services and orchestration capabilities across products and platforms.

You will collaborate with Customer Experience, System Engineering, Data, Platform, Deployment, and Software Engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable services that maximize reuse and scalability in the autonomy ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify customer, operational, and business needs; ability to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions and reusable services.
• Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to analyze competing priorities, dependencies, reuse opportunities, and platform tradeoffs.
• Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to convey requirements and priorities across stakeholders.
• Knowledge of product strategy, roadmap development, backlog management, prioritization, requirements management, and lifecycle practices.
• Knowledge of reusable services, platform architectures, orchestration frameworks, APIs, interfaces, and integration patterns.
• Knowledge of autonomous systems, robotics, data flows, safety considerations, and mission execution.
• Experience in stakeholder management, cross-functional execution and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Owns and defines acceptance criteria for common services and orchestration capabilities.
• Translates customer requirements and platform needs into technical requirements for reusable autonomous services.
• Defines and maintains the roadmap for common autonomy services and platform integration strategies.
• Drives prioritization and development of reusable services to accelerate delivery and reduce duplication.
• Ensures alignment between customer needs, mission objectives, and platform capabilities.
• Collaborates with multiple teams to ensure service adoption and scalable implementation.
