Customer Success Low-Code Development Agile Methodologies Technical Consulting Public Sector

As a Senior Technical Consultant in Appian's Customer Success Public Sector team, you will lead projects, working throughout the entire project lifecycle to define, design, develop, and implement custom software solutions using Appian’s low-code platform. You'll work in an agile environment to understand client's business processes and technical needs, launch new relational data models, develop APIs for system integration, and mentor consultants through software implementations. Collaboration with client technical teams and business users is key, as is driving adoption by empowering clients to build process applications independently.

Responsibilities:
* Lead projects and teams through the full software development lifecycle.
* Define, design, develop, and implement custom software solutions using Appian's low-code platform.
* Work with clients to understand their business processes and technical needs.
* Develop APIs to integrate with multiple systems.
* Mentor consultants through fast-paced software implementations.
* Collaborate with client technical teams and business users.
* Drive adoption by empowering clients to become self-sufficient.

Requirements:
* Passion for mentoring/developing others and leading small teams.
* Ability to define and adapt solutions to modernize and support Federal Acquisition processes and requirements.
* Excellent communication skills, passion for technology, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience implementing solutions related to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and/or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
* Experience with cross-functional teams and agile methodologies.
* Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases, database design/data modeling, and SQL skills.
* Knowledge of software testing practices and integrations experience using APIs.
* US Citizenship
* 7+ years of experience with hands-on software development or technical consulting
* B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field/degree
* Willingness to travel (10% or less annually)

Nice to have:
* Knowledge of software testing practices (test-driven development, automated test suites within a continuous integration framework); integrations experience using APIs such as REST and SOAP, JDBC connections, and web services; familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Analytics, Machine Learning, Google Cloud, Application Integration, Database, Developer Tools, Management & Governance, and Elastic Containers
* Existing DoD Clearance
