Principal Technical Consultant, Platform Engineering

This role involves serving as a technical thought leader and SME for our ecosystem of partners, customers, and service providers in Modern Apps & Platform Engineering. The Principal Technical Consultant leads the development, design, and implementation of client solutions, manages and mentors engineers, and oversees internal initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and deep technical expertise across various domains.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality projects that exceed client expectations.
• Design and implement complex, mission-critical technical solutions for clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, identify business growth opportunities.
• Develop high-quality technical and non-technical deliverables and presentations.
• Collaborate with clients to understand challenges and develop tailored solutions.
• Create and present solution designs and innovations to senior leadership.
• Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and innovation plans.
• Implement CI/CD solutions.
• Establish project estimates, plans, and risk mitigations.
• Mentor and coach team members, supporting their professional growth.
• Lead collaboration within technical communities.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop solutions collaboratively in front of clients.
• Strong consulting and business acumen.
• 10+ years of IT experience and 5+ years in Cloud, DevOps, Automation, and Digital Transformation.
• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Pro, Azure Solutions Architect, Terraform Associate, etc.
• Hands-on experience with core platform services: Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, Containers, Security, Identity.
• Experience with organizational adoption of platform engineering, DevOps, Cloud Transformation, Application Modernization.
• Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, ARM, CloudFormation.
• Experience with deployment tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Harness, Ansible.
• Programming experience in Java, Python, or similar languages.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of cloud-native design principles, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of enterprise IT functions across industries.

The compensation range reflects the On-Target Earnings (OTE), including base salary and bonus, and varies based on experience, qualifications, and location.
