Principal Technical Consultant, Platform Engineering

This role serves as a technical thought leader and SME in Modern Apps & Platform Engineering, leading design, development, and implementation of client solutions. The Principal Technical Consultant manages, mentors, and delegates to engineers, oversees career development, and supports internal initiatives. A strategic mindset, strong leadership, and deep technical expertise are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects on time, with high quality, exceeding client expectations.
• Design and implement complex, enterprise-grade technical solutions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, drive business growth, and identify upselling opportunities.
• Create high-quality technical and non-technical deliverables and presentations for clients and leadership.
• Collaborate with clients to understand challenges and develop tailored solutions.
• Present solution designs and ideas to client leadership.
• Develop and maintain Technical Roadmaps and Innovation Plans.
• Implement CI/CD solutions.
• Estimate, plan, identify risks, and oversee solution delivery.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering growth and excellence.
• Lead collaboration within technical communities.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop solutions collaboratively in front of clients.
• Strong consulting and business acumen.
• 10+ years of IT experience; 5+ years in Cloud, DevOps, Automation, Modernization, Digital Transformation.
• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Pro, Azure Solutions Architect, Terraform Associate, etc.
• Hands-on experience with core platform services: Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, Containers, Security, Identity.
• Experience with organizational adoption of Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud initiatives.
• Proficiency with IaC tools: Terraform, Ansible, ARM, CloudFormation.
• Experience with deployment tools: Harness, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.
• Programming experience in Java, Python, or similar.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of cloud-native design principles, DevSecOps, IaC, CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of enterprise IT across industries and functions.

The compensation range reflects OTE, including base salary and bonus, and varies based on experience, qualifications, and location.
