Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior engineering lead in Colorado to head cross-functional technical investigations and deliver data-driven insights. You will develop and enhance tools for data extraction and analysis, guiding program-level decisions while coordinating with customers and leadership.

Ideal candidates hold a STEM degree, have 8+ years of engineering experience, and possess an active TS/SCI CI poly clearance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Lead technical working groups to drive issue resolution, coordinate cross-functional inputs, and achieve program objectives.
Develop, refine, and deliver technical briefings to stakeholders and leadership.
Provide data-driven insights, recommendations, and decision support with minimal oversight.
Coordinate and influence cross-team technical activities.
Align priorities, resolve cross-functional dependencies, and maintain communication across engineering teams.
Design, enhance, and maintain software tools and automation solutions for data extraction, analysis, and interpretation.
Independently identify improvements and ensure tool robustness and scalability.
Perform and interpret trending, performance, and system-level analyses across hardware and software baselines.
Synthesize findings to inform engineering assessments and program-level decisions.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and hardware issues.
Lead investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
Collaborate with program and customer teams as a technical advisor.
Ensure integrated solutions support shared objectives and mission needs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred), or equivalent experience
Minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience
Experience in command-and-control systems and operations
Experience building and maintaining effective customer relationships
Experience collaborating with senior technical management
Experience conducting technical investigations and communicating findings to leadership
Active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date
Existing active security clearance required on day 1
U.S. citizenship required
Organizational, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills
Analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Preferred experience with scripting and programming languages, including UNIX/Linux environments, MATLAB, Perl, C++, Java, JavaScript, and Python
