Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is hiring a Systems Engineer Principal to lead a team building a secure private cloud for a SOCOM customer. You will shape architecture, security posture and migration plans while ensuring DoW/DoD compliance and effective cross‑functional collaboration.

The role demands 7+ years of experience, TS/SCI access, and expertise in AD, Windows Server, automation, and cloud tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; BA/BS preferred.
• 7+ years of related experience in systems engineering or IT.
• Strong knowledge of AD, Windows Server, automation and cloud platforms.
• Experience with private/hybrid cloud architecture and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and administrators in designing a secure private cloud platform.
• Define architecture, security posture and operational processes for the SOCOM private cloud.
• oversee application migration efforts and ensure DoD compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and documentation across teams.
