Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a Systems Engineer, Business Analyst, System Analyst, or similar requirements definition role.
• BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with embedded systems, network communications, and web services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Skilled at leading meetings, conflict resolution, and making presentations.
• Strategic problem solver with attention to detail.
• Able to work with incomplete information and make timely decisions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business collaborators and customers to grasp their challenges and requirements
• Define the product from a requirements perspective and analyze it for risk
• Translate customer needs, business constraints, and regulatory requirements into functional and performance requirements
• Collaborate with system architects and engineers to ensure the requirements define major modules, concepts, environments, and relationships
• Ensure robust, reliable, and secure system interfaces and integrations
• Develop and maintain the functional specification documentation in a lightweight yet thorough format
• Coordinate maintenance of the risk management plan and perform risk analysis (DFMEA)
• Evaluate risk using methodologies such as DFMEA and Risk/Hazard Analysis
