Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to lead cross-functional teams in driving successful closure of complex development projects to final design.

You will provide technical leadership and plan, execute, and direct key engineering assignments requiring independent judgment. You will coordinate internal teams and external partners, ensure integration with risk management, regulatory, and Quality System requirements, and present findings to stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years related engineering experience in a technical environment.
• Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to close challenging development projects from concept to final design.
• Provide technical leadership for engineering assignments requiring independent judgment.
• Plan, execute and direct important engineering tasks across subsystems and interfaces.
• Ensure deliverables integrate with risk management, compliance, and Quality System requirements.
• Coordinate internal teams, contractors, and external partners to meet program goals.
• Prepare and present written and oral reports to stakeholders as required.
