Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL is seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer to join our Product Support Analytics and Innovation team on-site at the Melbourne facility or San Diego. This role blends Product Support Engineering with large-scale Data Science to drive informed design decisions, improve system readiness, and enable predictive support solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Masters with 3 years of related engineering experience.
Experience with Systems Engineering Verification and Validation processes for complex analyses.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with integrated technical teams, program management, customers, and suppliers to align sector goals with Data Science.
Influence high-level decisions by delivering logistics-focused risk assessments and trade studies.
Recommend enhancements to logistics support elements to reduce lifecycle costs and improve system availability.
Prepare and deliver concise presentations, executive briefings, and technical reports for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
