Mach Industries is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to lead modeling and simulation across the aircraft design process. You will build integrated aircraft-level simulations, evaluate design options, and translate analyses into actionable engineering decisions, collaborating with aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, electrical, controls, and vehicle systems teams.

Qualifications

• Experience developing aircraft-level models and simulations.
• Strong understanding of flight mechanics and multidisciplinary system interactions.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, development, and validation of integrated aircraft simulations.
• Guide aircraft configuration, subsystem sizing, requirements, and trade studies using simulation.
• Integrate aerodynamic, structural, propulsion, electrical, mass-properties, controls, and mission-performance models.
• Lead multidisciplinary design optimization and sensitivity analyses.
• Correlate simulation results with tests and flight data.
• Present recommendations to technical leadership and program stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and establish best practices for simulation-driven development.
• Support requirements development, architecture reviews, and certification activities.
