Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking a Systems Administrator/Principal Systems Administrator to join our Ellsworth AFB, SD team. This role provides real-time support for ground systems, manages accounts and equipment, and ensures secure, compliant operations in a demanding flight operations environment.

The position requires an adjudicated Secret clearance, STIG experience, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends. Start dates depend on funding and program needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with 6 years of relevant Systems Administration experience or higher degrees with appropriate experience.
• Experience with STIG compliance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including extended shifts, holidays, weekends, on-call status 24/7/365.
• Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (in-scope or Continuous Evaluation).

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time support for Ground Systems multi-user computer systems supporting flight operations and maintenance.
• Account for, control, and deploy equipment.
• Configure user, administrator, and service accounts.
• Work with partners to resolve technical and data movement issues between Ground Systems and external systems.
• Perform field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of communications systems in military flight operations environment.
• Adherence to checklists and procedures and provide redlines when necessary.
• Work with a team to provide on-site end-user systems administration support 24/5.
• Provide systems administration support through updates, configurations, security patches, drawings, and feedback to Responsible Engineers.
• Communicate complex technical issues to local support, MOBs, and REs.
• Assist with trend analysis for REs.
• Perform/review supplier design data and define functional test requirements including acceptance and system integration.
• Take responsibility for testing, maintenance, and integration of communication systems equipment.
• Collaborate with system admins, maintainers, and onsite personnel to troubleshoot and repair issues.
