Raytheon seeks a Principal System Security Engineer to deliver holistic cybersecurity solutions for Warfighter technology advantage. The role is onsite in Tewksbury, MA, coordinating security activities across engineering teams and serving as the technical interface with customers, leadership, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of prior relevant experience.

• Experience in System Security Engineering, cybersecurity, or embedded security.
• Experience with NIST RMF and DoD security standards.

Raytheon is hiring a Principal System Security Engineer to support holistic cybersecurity solutions for Warfighter technology advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cybersecurity activities across multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Serve as a technical interface for cybersecurity matters with customers, program leadership, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
• Develop plans and estimates; execute tasks; manage project tracking and reporting
• Identify risks and create risk identification and mitigation plans
• Ensure compliance with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls
• Consult and assist program management with SSE architecture and related issues
• Support development of bids and proposals
• Define security development and test efforts for security control implementation across networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software components
• Integrate cybersecurity development activities
• Develop top-level system requirements and flow down requirements and implementation concepts to subsystem levels
• Apply understanding and compliance with DoD technology release and export licensing policies

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience
• Active and transferable U.S. Secret clearance required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship required, since only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Experience in System Security Engineering, computer technology reverse engineering, anti-tamper, cybersecurity, or embedded security
• Experience with NIST RMF
• Experience in technical leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing SSE solutions across the entire life cycle
• Experience delivering solutions that meet robust SSE systems security requirements
• Cybersecurity certifications aligned with DoDD 8570/DoDD 8140, such as CISSP, GSLC, CEH
• Subcontractor management experience with SSE
• Broad understanding of technology and working knowledge of DODI-S-5230.28
• Strategic planning experience and U.S. Government contract proposal experience as an Information Assurance Engineer subject matter expert
• Demonstrated ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively with coworkers, suppliers, stakeholders, and customers in a team environment
• Experience contributing to team-based development of creative solutions to technical problems, including processes, IA controls, and maintaining certification and accreditation documentation
