Job summary

Tope Technology, LLC seeks a Principal System Engineer to support the AF Strategic Program Information Services team. The role involves advising Government leaders, overseeing requirements, and coordinating reviews and milestones to ensure integrated, verifiable system results.

Requirements include a DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance and 5–7+ years of related experience with BS/MS degrees in engineering, CS, software, math, physics, or related fields. Full-time with benefits in Utah.

Qualifications

• Must have a DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance.
• Must have 7+ years’ experience with BS degree or 5+ years’ with MS degree.
• Experience translating customer requirements into hardware/software specifications.
• Experience with large scale system planning, integration, verification and validation.

Responsibilities

Principal System Engineer

Tope is seeking a Principal System Engineer to support the AF Strategic Program Information Services team in support of the Sentinel Information Services (IS) team. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Provide technical advice to Government leaders and engineers.
• Monitor requirements development, analysis of alternatives, verification and validation activities, and milestone preparation.
• Prepare/review engineering analysis reports and review key acquisition documents
• Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program management reviews, certification working groups, and other technical meetings, as required.
• Align multiple programs into a common plan ensuring disciplined configuration and data management

Position requires a fully adjudicated DoD Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance and at least 7 + years’ experience and a BS degree in engineering, computer science, software, mathematics, physics, or related field or 5 + years’ experience and a MS degree in engineering, computer science, software, mathematics, physics, or related field.

• Experience with Cameo and PLM tools.
• ACAT I program or ICBM-related engineering experience
• Analytical experience with integrated military weapon systems or multiple subsystems
• Experience translating customer requirements into hardware/software specifications
• Experience with large scale system planning, integration, verification and validation0.

Other skills desired are:

• Excellent cognitive, communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills
• Managerial experience operating in a high tempo environment
• Experience with DoW acquisition programs
