Job summary

EVONA, El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Principal Supplier Quality Engineer to own supplier quality across critical aerospace manufacturing programmes. You will collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure suppliers meet the highest quality standards on on-site programs.

The role demands leadership in supplier qualification, audits, and SCARs, with a focus on DFM and AS9100 compliance. A strong aerospace background and deep quality systems knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in Supplier Quality within aerospace/defense.
• Experience with space-grade machining, PCBs, PCBAs, integrated assemblies and test hardware.
• Strong understanding of AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Excellent supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualification, performance, and risk assessments.
• Drive supplier quality improvements and corrective actions (SCARs).
• Lead root cause investigations and non-conformance resolution.
• Conduct supplier audits and source inspections.
• Develop supplier KPIs covering quality, delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives alongside engineering teams.

As Principal Supplier Quality Engineer, you'll take ownership of supplier quality across critical aerospace manufacturing programmes, working closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure suppliers consistently deliver to the highest quality standards.
