The ideal candidate is a master of structural engineering principles, a licensed professional in Colorado and preferably in California too, and possesses a passion for applying their expertise to solve the national housing crisis. You will be the engineering cornerstone ensuring our products can be deployed safely and efficiently across diverse and demanding regulatory environments, from the Rocky Mountains to the seismic zones of California.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bi-Coastal Code Reconciliation & Compliance: Serve as the lead expert in navigating and reconciling the building codes of multiple states, with an initial focus on Colorado and California. Develop robust, standardized structural systems compliant with both the IBC/IRC framework and California's stringent Title 24 Building Standards Code.
  • Research & Development Leadership: Spearhead R&D initiatives for next-generation structural systems, including investigating and implementing new sustainable materials and innovative connection details to enhance our competitive edge.
  • Factory Floor Integration & Quality Assurance: Act as the primary engineering liaison to our manufacturing team in Hudson, CO, overseeing the implementation of structural designs and ensuring the final product rigorously adheres to specifications and exceeds IRC/IBC 2024 standards.
  • Professional Sealing & Documentation: Prepare, sign, and seal all necessary engineering plans, structural calculations, and compliance documentation required for permitting and regulatory approval.
  • Cross-Functional Technical Leadership: Serve as the definitive structural authority within our multidisciplinary product development team, collaborating with architects, designers, and manufacturing engineers to deliver optimized, integrated solutions.
Essential Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):
  • Licensure:
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing in the state of Colorado.
  • Active Civil Engineer (PE) license and an active Structural Engineer (SE) license in good standing in the state of California.
