Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated Principal Structural Design Engineer to support ongoing operations in Aiken, SC.
Define scope of technical programs and develop eective, quality solutions to challenges which involve unique or controversial problems. Creatively meet all company and industry requirements and apply site systems to achieve quality, timely and cost-eective results. Give quality guidance and assistance to less senior professionals on related tasks.
DUTIES:
Define scope of technical programs and develop eective, quality solutions to challenges which involve unique or controversial problems. Creatively meet all company and industry requirements and apply site systems to achieve quality, timely and cost-eective results. Give quality guidance and assistance to less senior professionals on related tasks.
Provide design and construction oversight of structural engineering tasks to SRNS.
Structural engineering tasks include:
Analysis of structural systems for both static and dynamic loads using manual computation and computer programs.
Design of concrete structures; design of steel, aluminum, stainless steel, timber and composite structures.
Foundation and anchorage design.
Structural analysis for impact, overpressure, and other accident conditions.
Preparation of CSI specifications; and review of vendor documents.
Engineering services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.
A 40 hour work week is scheduled. Client utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10's (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80's (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes Client holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager.
