Job summary

Corelight is seeking a Principal, Business Development to expand strategic routes to market and develop high-value growth opportunities across the US Commercial business. • Significant experience in enterprise cybersecurity, ideally spanning technical sales, Solutions Engineering, strategic business development, or a combination of these disciplines.
• Experience within a leading enterprise cybersecurity, network security, or technology organization, with strong knowledge of complex enterprise sales environments.
• Deep technical understanding of enterprise cybersecurity and network security, with the ability to quickly understand complex architectures and communicate how multiple technologies work together.
• Strong commercial acumen and demonstrated ability to translate technical capabilities into customer value, business opportunities, and revenue potential.
• Experience engaging Fortune 500 organizations and credibility presenting to senior technical and executive audiences, including CTOs, CISOs, VPs, architects, and other enterprise decision-makers.
• Demonstrated success developing strategic solutions, commercial opportunities, partnerships, or go-to-market initiatives in complex or evolving environments.
• Ability to navigate across account teams, partners, technical stakeholders, and executive leadership to build alignment and drive results.
• High degree of autonomy, ownership, and judgment, with the ability to identify opportunities and move them forward without significant structure or direction.
• Strong communication, influence, and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions while maintaining trusted partnerships.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required.

About the Role

Corelight is seeking a Principal, Business Development to expand strategic routes to market and develop high-value growth opportunities across the US Commercial business. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, this role will operate at the intersection of cybersecurity, strategic partnerships, and enterprise sales to create customer demand and develop significant commercial opportunities.

This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who combines deep technical credibility with strong commercial instincts. You will work directly with large enterprise customers, strategic technology partners, and internal sales and technical teams to identify opportunities, develop differentiated solutions, and build long-term pipeline. This person is a highly autonomous, strategic operator who can recognize where technology, customer need, and market opportunity intersect and turn those insights into meaningful commercial outcomes.

What You’ll Do

The compensation for this position may vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. Depending on the nature and seniority of the role, a percentage of compensation may come in the form of a commission-based or discretionary bonus.
