Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer for a hybrid Chicago position. You will drive automation, deployment, and reliability of bank fund transfer features, using Terraform to build infrastructure and Docker/Kubernetes to manage containers and clusters.

The role emphasizes leading projects and mentoring engineers in scalable solutions. The position offers 3 days onsite and 2 remote, with a 6-month contract-to-hire arrangement and a strong compensation package around

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Experience with software development and scripting.
• Knowledge of cloud computing and distributed systems.
• Experience with IaC such as Terraform.
• Experience building containers and clusters from scratch using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud tools (GCP, OCI, Azure).
• Knowledge of automation and deployment tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation and deployment of bank fund transfer features.
• Write modules for the infrastructure team using Terraform.
• Ensure reliability and security of critical systems.
• Guide other engineers in developing better technology solutions.
