Job summary

Saviynt is seeking an experienced Principal SRE to design, build, and maintain our shared infrastructure and platform services. You will focus on scalable, multi-cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes as a service, and robust automation across teams.

You will implement event-driven architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and reliable distributed systems while collaborating with product teams to meet internal customers’ needs. Strong Go and Python skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience building and operating large-scale, distributed systems.
• Strong programming in Go and Python with emphasis on backend services.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes in production and multi-tenant deployments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure) and multi-cloud abstractions.
• Experience designing and operating event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RMQ, NATS).
• Proficiency with GitLab CI and automated delivery processes for multiple teams.
• Strong RESTful API design skills and API documentation.
• Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog) and service mesh concepts (Istio).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain shared infrastructure services used by product teams.
• Create reusable, scalable platform components to accelerate feature delivery across teams.
• Architect and manage Kubernetes platforms as a service for internal consumers.
• Develop internal tooling and automation for provisioning and management of infrastructure using Go.
• Design shared event-driven components and messaging platforms (Kafka, RMQ, NATS).
• Set up and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, ArgoCD) as a service for multiple teams.
• Design reliable distributed systems with strong fault tolerance and performance.
• Oversee multi-region cloud environments to ensure global availability and performance.
• Establish centralized observability and monitoring platforms for self-service insights.
• Create clear RESTful APIs for infrastructure services and promote easy integration.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support critical infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product teams to align infrastructure with business needs.
