Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks to find a Principal or Senior Principal Software Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a Ground program. The Seychelles program needs an experienced Human Computer Interface (HCI)/Graphical User Interface (GUI) developer to work on their integrated Command & Control (C2) Phase 1B effort which is expecting ATP on June 1, 2025. Start date is contingent upon ATP date and funding.
This position is primarily being sourced out of our Redondo Beach, CA site but may be located at other geographic sites, including Morrisville, NC, Fairfax, VA, Linthicum, MD, or Aurora, CO sites. (compensation varies per location)
As a Software Engineer, you will be on the Space Vehicle Management team where you will design, develop, document, refactor, test, and debug applications software for a Ground Segment. Ultimately, you will support the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission. Development is done within the Agile paradigm using the Atlassian tool suite. The work is full-time in the office. The qualified candidate must have and be able to maintain a clearance.
The successful candidate will have Software development experience, with the ability to digest changes and synthesize them into working designs, generate efficient code according to the specifications, and adapt to changes as necessary that are driven by bugs or specification updates or the customer. The candidate is expected to operate independently with little oversight in a dynamic environment, and to be highly self-motivated, reporting information to leads and the customer. The individual is expected to handle diverse assignments with efficiency, finding unique solutions and working in a very collaborative and fast-paced environment that continues to grow.
Principal Software Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
Sr Principal Software Engineer: 8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
